Businesses could be needlessly suffering in subtle ways that are not obvious to leadership.  Invisible barriers to success could be lurking in the workplace that manifest themselves as disengaged and unsatisfied employees, higher medical and insurance costs, and poor public reputation with clients and prospective employees. This leads to evaporating productivity, profits and corporate value. Research shows the cost of doing nothing about these barriers is high.
The business case for employee wellbeing can been described in terms of return on investment (ROI) and value on investment (VOI).  But there is another compelling reason for wellbeing – it’s the right thing to do for employees.  The need for a holistic approach to wellbeing is greater than ever. The national Wellbeing Index score for the U.S in 2017 showed a decline in 21 states, easily the largest year-over-year decline in the 10-year history of the Wellbeing Index.  An unhealthy workplace leads to stress and unhealthy lifestyle behaviors, which in turn reduce productivity and increase costs for the employer.  Socially responsible organizations are those that create value for all stakeholders, including employees.  They are driven by a higher purpose that profit alone.
Participants will learn:
  • The business case for workplace wellness, including ROI and VOI,
  • The real story about the state of employee wellbeing,
  • What research shows about the benefits of wellness programs - helping to simultaneously improve employee wellbeing and organizational success
